Tips For Making Garbage Removal Easier On Yourself
So many people find that they dread taking all of their garbage to the curb each week. To help make sure that you are going to be able to have an easier time dealing with the garbage, you will want to take a few moments to review the following tips.
Rent Large Cans From The Garbage Company
You will want to make sure that you are using the best possible garbage cans for the weekly garbage pickup. These cans should be made of heavy duty plastic, come with attached lids that you simply lift off, and have wheels on the bottom so you can roll them. Instead of spending a lot of time and money looking for the right cans to purchase, you can simply rent them from the garbage company. Then, when a lid or wheel breaks, you will have them pick up the can and give you a replacement one. This will ensure that you always have a well functioning garbage can.
Start Recycling More
The more you recycle, the lighter your garbage bags will be. And the lighter your garbage bags are, the less likely it is that they will break on you and dump debris all over your kitchen floor or throughout your yard. You can easily toss cans and glass in separate bins and have those recycled after they fill up. Also, you could always toss your organic food scraps in a pile in the backyard, creating your own little compost pile. The food that you do need to put in your garbage bags should be first sealed in a smaller bag, such as a grocery store bag, as this helps seal in the smell that could attract rodents and other wildlife to your outdoor garbage cans.
Build A Box For Your Outdoor Cans
You want to make sure that the wind and animals are not able to topple your garbage cans over. Too many people wake up in the mornings to find that their cans are knocked over, the bags are ripped into, and their is garbage spread all across their yard because an animal was trying to find its next meal. This can be extremely messy to deal with and rather embarrassing. To prevent this from happening, you will want to build a box, or cage of sorts, for your garbage cans. You can make a hinged and locked door for it so you can easily slide the garbage cans out as needed. However, while they are in there, the walls of the box will prevent them from being pushed over.
